"Koh Tsu Koon could not even decide on who was going to lead Penang. The electorate responded and wiped out Gerakan!"

I find the above statement so amusing, yet so true. If you remember, a little while before election, there was a debate on who from Gerakan should become the next CM. Probably too much of guessing game, is not good. The people got fed up, BN lost the state government, AND, good news for Koh - You don't have to decide!

I agree that a good leader should have laid down a clear succession plan. So Koh lacked his leadership skills in that sense.
However, it’s wrong for Neil to say that Koh is indecisive. Put yourself in Koh’s shoes. You didn’t train up a successor to take over your place (let’s leave the excuses out for now). The parliament has dissolved and it’s election time. You probably have a personally preferred successor out of the three candidates you named. If you announce it to public before the election, the winning chances of the other two candidates might jeopardize.
In my POV, Koh can make decisions. It was simply his STRATEGY not to reveal the candidate’s name. Otherwise, why did he stop Pak Lah from announcing?
While it’s educational to source alternative news from Malaysia Kini, we need to differentiate news and opinion. There’s something what we call filtering :) and keep your thoughts flowing.
